JNJG Tour

All tournaments run and managed by Jack Newton Junior Golf are known as JNJG Tour Events. The JNJG Tour consists of six JNJG Major Tournaments and nine JNJG Junior Masters Series Tournaments.

JNJG Tour Events are open to all JNJG Tour members. To become a JNJG Tour Member, a player must be a member of a Golf Club and hold a current Golf Australia handicap.

Major Tournaments

JNJG conducts five major strokeplay tournaments and one major matchplay tournament throughout the year. The tournaments are:

1. Harvey Norman Week of Golf (2 different events)
 
A.C.T Week of Golf:
  • 72 Hole tournament played throughout the first week in January.
  • The tournament moved to Canberra in 2018 and is currently played at the Gold Creek Golf Club.
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with Interstate and International Players encouraged.
  • The tournament is both a WAGR Ranking event and a Golf Australia Junior Order of Merit event.
  • The tournament is limited to 120 players with a handicap ballot required if entries exceed spaces available.
 
Sydney Week of Golf:
  • 90 Hole tournament played throughout the first Monday – Friday week in January.
  • The tournament is played over five different courses in five days, all over Sydney.
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with Interstate and International Players encouraged.
  • 18 Year Olds are able to play in the Sydney Week of Golf provided they attended and graduated High School the previous year.
     
2. NSW Junior Championship
 
Incorporating;
  • NSW Boys and Girls Championship (72 Holes)
  • Country Junior Championship (36 Holes)
  • Inter-District Teams Championship (36 Holes)
  • JNJG State Age Championship (13 – 17 Years) (72 Holes).
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, Interstate and Overseas players (handicap restrictions apply)
  • Four round tournament played over two courses (all players play four rounds however there is a cut after 36 holes)

3. JNJG Under 12 State Age Championship
 
  • JNJG State Age Championship (12 / 11 / 10 Years & Under) (72 Holes)
  • Entries are open to NSW / ACT JNJG Tour Members only
  • Four round tournament played over two courses (36 holes at each venue)
 
4. Jack Newton International (3 different events)
 
JNJG International Junior Classic (15 / 16 / 17 Years):
  • 72 Hole tournament played in the September / October School Holidays
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with Interstate and International Players encouraged
  • The tournament is both a WAGR Ranking event and a Golf Australia Junior Order of Merit event
  • The tournament is limited to 208 players with handicap restrictions. A handicap ballot may also be required if entries exceed spaces available
 
JNJG International Sub Junior Classic (14 / 13 / 12 Years):
  • 72 Hole tournament played in the September / October School Holidays
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with Interstate and International Players encouraged
  • The tournament is limited to 208 players with handicap restrictions. A handicap ballot may also be required if entries exceed spaces available

JNJG Under 12 Junior Classic

  •  54 Hole Tournament Played in September / October School Holidays
  • Entries are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with Interstae players encouraged
  • The tournaent is limited to 150 players.
5. Bonville Champions Trophy
 
  • The Bonvile Champions Trophy is an invite only event for NSW JNJG Tour Members Only.
  • Players receive an invitation to the Bonville Champions Trophy by winning a scratch age division or overall event at any of the JNJG Tour events, both JNJG Majors and JNJG Junior Masters Events, throughout a Calendar Year.
 
6. Fayde Junior Matchplay
 
  • The Fayde Junior Matchplay is an invite only event for the scratch age divisions and a first in best dressed event for the handicap matchplay divisions
  • The top eight boys and top eight girls in each age division based on their junior averages are invited to play in the event
  • There are 7 Boys Divisions, from 11 Years and Under through to 17 years
  • There are 2 Girls Divisions, with individual age divisions combined depending on numbers
  • The Fayde Junior Matchplay also runs a handicap division for both boys and girls
  • There are up to 3 Boys Handicap Divisions and 1 Girls Handicap Division, depending on numbers
  • Players can nominate to play in the handicap section of the event and entries are received on a first come first served basis

Junior Masters Series

JNJG conducts nine Junior Masters Series tournaments throughout the year. Each tournament is run played over two days and 36 holes, with each tournament taking part in a different region of NSW. 

The events are open to all JNJG Tour Members, with no handicap restrictions. There are four age divisions at each event, with players competing in the age division they are as of the first day of the tournament. 
The four age divisions are;
- 16 Years & Over
- 14 & 15 Years
- 12 & 13 Years
- 11 Years & Under

The nine tournaments are:

  • Peter O'Malley Junior Masters (Parkes Golf Club – February)
  • Wagga Wagga Junior Masters (Wagga Wagga Country Club – March)
  • Northern Rivers Junior Masters (Ocean Shores Country Club – April)
  • Illawarra Junior Masters (The Links Shell Cove – April)
  • Murray River Junior Masters (Howlong Golf Resort - April)
  • North Coast Junior Masters (Kew Country Club – May)
  • Macarthur Junior Masters (Campbelltown Golf Club + Camden Golf Club – June)
  • Greg Chalmers Junior Masters (Shelly Beach Golf Club – July)
  • South Coast Junior Masters (Catalina Country Club – August)
  • Brett Ogle Junior Masters (Goulburn Golf Club – November)
     

Players competing in the JNJG Junior Masters Series play for the Master of the Masters, and Masters Points Race titles.
