Term Two Junior Program

Eastlake Golf Club has finished up their Term 2 Junior Program with a child and parent fun afternoon. Having learnt various skills during the Saturday clinics the kids got to test out their skills and show their parents how the game is played in a little Ambrose competition.

There were four holes set up for them to play, two were par 3’s and two were par 4’s. Each child and parent were then paired up and put into small groups and sent out to play some golf! It was enjoyed by all and the kids definitely showed they had listened and practiced what they had learnt during the program as some of them showed the parents how it was done! I think some parents enjoyed it just as much as the children and the afternoon might have ignited the golfing bug in them!

The day was finished off with a BBQ thanks to A&S Select Meats who generously donated the sausages and everyone had worked up their appetite on the golf course. There was one more surprise instore for the cadets and that was to get to hit balls at their coach. James suited up in the Snag Sticky Suit and let the kids and adults hit the balls at him which was in the end the highlight of the 7 week course!

All of the kids look forward to coming back next term and learning more skills and improving on the ones that they learnt this time round!
