2014 Jack Newton Celebrity Classic
Former Belmont Golf Club junior Polly Goldman has become the first ever female to win the Jack Newton Celebrity Classic outright.
Goldman won the 36-hole Hunter Valley event on the first playoff hole against fellow professionals Chris Campbell from Canberra and Sydney's Daniel Bringolf.
Goldman, formerly Polly Travica, was in white hot form yesterday, shooting six under, including nine birdies, to force the event into a three-way playoff.
Goldman played a superb tee shot at the par four 18th, an even better approach shot which landed six feet from the hole.
She then calmly sunk the birdie putt, which saw the trophy safely in her keeping.
Goldman is the first woman to win the charity event outright, with previous female winners not competing against the men.
