Wright's Chainsaws Nowra Junior Golf Open 2016

On a cool but sunny Sunday morning, Nowra Golf Club welcomed 40 players in the Wright's Chainsaws Junior Open. Despite most players finding the course a bit hard, some good scores were returned.

In the Girl's Junior Open Stroke Event Stefanie Hall (+2, The Australian) shot 78 off the stick, from Kelsey Bennett (5, Mollymook) with 81. Nearest the Pin on the 8th went to Stefanie.

In the Boy's Junior Open Stroke Event Jackson Hall (1, Wollongong) had a 72 off the stick to beat Lachlan Chamberlain (2, Federal) 76 and James Dickinson (7, Catalina) 77.

In the Boy's Stroke Nett Event Wil Daibarra (14, Kiama) won with 69 from Riley Brown (Moruya) with 70 and Jayden Granger (18, Mollymook).

In the Boy's Stableford Event Morgan Thornton (36, Eden) returned a magnificent score of 47 points to win easily from Will Blomley (26, Kiama) with a creditable 37 points

Six players contested the 9 hole event with Ryan Bailey triumphing with 17 points.

A big thank you goes to Josh Francis and the green's staff who had the course in great condition despite all the rain that we have had. Patricia Austin had the scoring under control, while Col Poulton and Kevin Longford manned the barbeque and Col was joined by Sue Hunter to make sure that the field got away on time.

The event wouldn't be possible without our Sponsors, Wright's Chainsaws, Choices Carpets South Nowra, Crescent Home Plans, IllawarraGolf and Booth Partners.
