Successful Teacher Training for Covenant
Another one of the Christian Schools is about to start a MyGolf program with their year 10 students. It was overcast and drizzled a little but these intrepid teachers (and one determined coach) stayed out in the weather to learn the basics of how to deliver the MyGolf program. As is usually the case, the teachers had as much, maybe more, fun than the students as they tried to out-chip and out-hit each other. Picking up the balls was an event in itself as these “adults” pushed, tripped and tackled each other in an effort to get the closest balls. At the end of the 90 minute session they had all mastered the skills and were looking forward to teaching the kids how to play golf.
Covenant Christian School is a K-12 school located at Belrose in Sydney’s north east. It has about 800 students and has a strong sporting program. Golf will now become part of the schools activities and may lead to some interschool rivalry with other Christian Schools in the area.
