Luka Brucic Takes Out Honours
Thirteen-year-old Luka Brucic, from McKellar, has been awarded the South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) Golf Program ‘Athlete of the Year’ for 2014.
The award is an initiative of the program partner Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) and it includes the provision of products from Titleist and FootJoy over the next 12 months.
Luka is a local junior from the Gold Creek Country Club and he has had an outstanding year. At the JNJG South Coast Junior Masters at the Catalina Country Club in late August he was involved in a playoff for the boys 12 & 13 years title. Luka approached the playoff like a seasoned campaigner and holed a 20 foot putt on the 3rd playoff hole to win. He certainly has a bright future in the game.
