Premiers Sporting Challenge Continues

Now in its fourth year, the Premiers Sporting Challenge has reached a stage where the students who started learning the basics of the various sports are now actually doing the coaching with younger students. They would have started learning as year 7 and 8 students and are now teaching the skills they have learned to others.

In March at the Freshwater campus of the Northern Beaches Secondary College, eight year 10 and 11 students coached about sixteen year 6 and 7 students in golf, as well as other sports. Under the watchful eye of JNJG Territory Manager Greg Watkinson, they showed the younger students the basics of grip, stance and swing and then coached them through a series of games using their new skills. They all agreed that they had as much fun coaching now, as they had done when they did the first stages 2-3 years ago.
