Holiday Fun at Woodville Golf Club
Each year, Parramatta City Council organise a series of fun holiday activities for young children in their city. The Council owns Woodville Golf Club and use this venue to conduct the golf action. Jack Newton Junior Golf provide two coaches and all the equipment to show the children the basics of chipping and hitting a rubber golf ball with a seven iron, and putting with real golf balls on a real green. There were 30 boys and girls, many of whom had never touched a golf club, but by the time the session was over, they were all hitting the ball in the air and putting into the hole. After the 2 hours several were keen to know where they could continue the sport. They had lots of fun.
