JNJG Tour Set to Return in August

After announcing just last week that JNJG Events will be back on the calendar with "Out of Iso" Golf Days held throughout the July School Holidays, and the JNJG Virtual Tour continuing as many kids return to school, we are pleased to announce that our JNJG Tour Events will also return in the coming months.
After four months of cancellations and postponements due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Greg Chalmers Junior Masters at Shelly Beach will be the first event back on the JNJG Tour calendar, held over the first weekend in August. August will be a busy month, with the Jack Newton Juniors on the Move Program also getting the green light to return.
Before the regular JOM program gets underway in August, all Juniors on the Move players are encouraged to take part and compete in the 5 or 9 Hole section of the Out of Iso Golf Days. Juniors on the Move Co-Ordinators will be in touch shortly to let you know of any changes to the schedule for the remainder of 2020.
With shot-gun starts highly unlikely as some social distancing measures remain in place, the format of the first event back will be changed slightly to enable our Juniors (competing for the Greg Chalmers Junior Masters) and Shelly Beach GC Members (competing for the Greg Chalmers Classic) to compete together over 36 holes.
The JNJG Tour Calendar does have some changes over the final five months of the year, with the JNJG International (minus the International Teams) at Cypress Lakes and Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley remaining the flagship event. The JNJG State Age Championships will also be held in conjunction with the International, making it the must-attend event of 2020!!
The NSW Junior Championships have been rescheduled for December, after the Coronavirus lockdown caused the postponement of the event in July at Byron Bay and Ocean Shores. The tournament will now be played at Mt Broughton Golf & Country Club in the Southern Highlands, with the tournament returning to the Northern Rivers in 2021 and 2022.
Two further events have fallen victim to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Fayde Junior Matchplay (October) and Bonville Champions Trophy (December) cancelled for 2020 :(

- Held in conjunction with the Jack Newton International this year will be the JNJG State Age Championships (originally postponed in July). The best placed NSW / A.C.T player in the 15/16/17 Year Age Division will be announced as the JNJG State Age Champion for 2020.
Jack Newton International Sub-Junior Classic

- 180 Juniors (14 Years & Under - Handicap Restrictions do apply)
- Entries Open Friday 24th July
- Held in conjunction with the Jack Newton International this year will be the JNJG State Age Championships (originally postponed in July). The best placed NSW / A.C.T player in the 14/13/12/11/10 Years & Under Age Division will be announced as the JNJG State Age Champion for 2020.
Fayde Junior Matchplay
- The Fayde Junior Matchplay has been cancelled for 2020 :(
- The Tournament will return bigger and better in 2021
Brett Ogle Junior Masters
- Goulburn Golf Club
- Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd November
- 128 Juniors
- Entries Open Tuesday 22nd September
Bonville Champions Trophy
- The Bonville Champions Trophy has been cancelled for 2020
- JNJG will look to hold the Champions Trophy in Conjunction with another event this year / early next year (details still to be confirmed),
- The Tournament will return to Bonville, bigger and better in 2021
NSW Junior Championships
- Mt Broughton Golf & Country Club
- Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th December
- 90 Juniors (Handicap Restrictions do apply)
- No Age Division Contests - All players competing for the NSW Junior Championship
- 72 Hole Event, played over 3 days
- 18 Holes (Monday), 36 Holes (Tuesday) - 54 Hole Cut - 18 Holes (Wednesday)
- Entries Open Tuesday 20th October
Please note - JNJG and the host clubs will be running all of our tournaments under the strict social distancing regulations and guidelines enforced by Golf Australia / Golf NSW and implemented at the host clubs. JNJG will also have it's own Covid-19 Policy in place for the remainder of 2020.
