Talent Identification Camp

The Talent Identification Camp commenced in 2017 due to JNJG’s recognition of increased player numbers competing in the Sub-Junior section of its tournaments. The goal of the camp is to provide additional development opportunities and support to the players and the parents that are engaged in these JNJG tournaments. The camp is open to both boys and girls and is limited to 32 participants.

The camp is proudly supported by Srixon Sports Australia.

The objectives of the camp are as follows;

  • educate and inform players and their parents on the development pathway at state and national levels
  • educate and inform parents and players on the principles of long-term athlete development
  • provide an opportunity for the camp participants to showcase their golfing talents to JNJG Development Staff
  • provide an opportunity for JNJG to collect information on general athletic ability, golf skills, attitude and behaviours of camp participants
  • provide a fun and challenging curriculum that allows the participants to learn about themselves and develop new skills
  • to identify recipients of Srixon Sports equipment scholarships
  • to identify participants that would benefit from additional JNJG development and competition opportunities in the future
