A introductory level program aimed children aged between 8-14 years who can complete play 9 holes.
This grass roots program was developed to provide juniors who participate in cadet programs at golf clubs or just play socially the opportunity to play on new golf courses and meet other young golfers keen on improving their golf. The Juniors on the Move squad meets once a month at a different course each time, and prizes are awarded on these days to encourage players to keep on playing golf.
Handicaps can be gained during this program, and the Juniors on the Move handicapping system is recognised by the Primary School Sports Association and other golfing bodies as an official 9 Hole Handicap for Juniors. Junior’s on the Move has almost 80 registered players in 2010, with that number expected to rise in the coming years.
