Country Junior Golf commenced in 2007 and was an initiative of PGA Teaching Professional Eddie Emerson and JNJG Country Junior Development Officer Sharon Nott. The aim is to grow the game of golf and provide opportunities for junior golfers to develop particularly in the Western Region of NSW.
Opportunities for Junior Golfers from the Country
Country Junior Golf was established to grow the game of golf and provide opportunities for juniors in rural areas to develop their skills. It is predominantly focused on the Western Region of NSW but also assists in other areas. Jack Newton Junior Golf assist with the administration and some funding of the program.
There are a number of opportunities offered by country junior golf including the annual Bush to City camp, The Australian Open Trip and Gold Scholarships to assist with tournament and coaching costs.
