The Country Junior Golf Project was the brainchild of PGA Teaching Professional Eddie Emerson and Jack Newton Junior Golf Country Development Officer Sharon Nott.
The primary function of this project is to provide the junior players located in western New South Wales an opportunity to enrich their lives and develop their golf games through a variety of programs and activities.
Some of the programs and activities that Country Junior Golf provide or support include;
- Far West Academy of Sport Golf Program
- The Bush to City Tour
- "Come and Try" Days at golf clubs
- Boys and girls golf camps
- Individual Scholarships
The funds to support Country Junior Golfs initiatives are raised each year by a golf day and auction.
