Robards Named as 2016-2017 Scholarship Winner
The 2016-2017 Regional Acadmey of Sport Titleist/ Footjoy Scholarship recipient has been decided. An active member of both Newcastle and Belmont Golf Clubs as well as the Hunter Academy of Sport, Joshuaa Robards is a worth recipient of this years scholarship.
As such Joshuaa will be provided with 12 months equipment support from Titleist/FootJoy as well as an invite to the JNJG Sponsors Day and Presentation night to receive his award. Joshuaa was selected from over 20 high-quality nominations to receive this award.
The Kotara High School Student has had a fantastic year on the course after being named the Newcastle District Golf Association 2017 School Boys Champion. He also won his age division in the Singleton Junior Classic and on the JNJG Tour in the North Coast Junior Masters and the Peter O'Malley Junior Masters.
He is dedicated to improving his game and has come a long way since joining the Hunter Academy of Sports Golf Squad in September 2016. He has reduced his handicap by 5 shots during the past year and his commitment and dedication to practise and play shows how much of a worthy winner he is.
