Golf NSW in partnership with JNJG will be holding a State Talent Identification Camp at the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen from October 31st - November 3rd, 2010.
The aim of this camp is to identify potential junior state representatives.
During this live in camp, participants will receive advice on technical, physical, phychological and tactical areas of the game. There will also be advice on potential career pathways in golf.
During the camp participants will play on a couple of Sydney's Northern Beaches finest courses; Long Reef and Cromer.
The individual applicantion requirements for potential participants are as follows:
- Be eligible to represent NSW at a junior level for the next two years. i.e. be under 18 years of age in April 2012.
- Have a handicap of 6 or less for boys and 12 or less for girls. (Golflink records will be checked)
- Be an Australian Resident proceeding towards Australian Citzenship.
- Be a member of JNJG.
- Application is endorsed by Club Captain.
- Not be suspended from any club in NSW.
The camp is limited to 45 participants. If the number of applicants exceeds this number, a ballott will be conducted. The ballot will be conducted by the NSW Junior Committee, which has members of both the junior boys and girls selectors panels.
There is no cost to attend the camp if selected. It will be the responsibility of the selected participnats to get to and from the Sydney Academy of Sport. Note:- JNJG may be able to assist with transfers from either Sydney Airport or Central Railway to the Academy if required. This will be discussed with successful applicants.
Application forms need to be completed and returned to JNJG by the close of businees Friday September 24th. Successful applicants will be notified via email by Wednesday 6th October.
