Harry Preece Ready to Take on the World

Jack Newton Junior Golf's Juniors On the Move Newcastle member Harry Preece may only be 6 years of age but he is already making a name for himself as he gets ready to get on the world golfing stage.

Harry competed at the Australian Age Golf Championships held at Capricorn Golf Club, Yeppoon, QLD on 11-13th April 2017. He shot rounds of 40, 43 and 37 for 9 holes to finish third in the 6 Years and Under age division. He overcame a deficit of 4 shots between himself and third place going into the final day of competition to finish a clear third, 3 shots in front of fourth.
Due to his scores and conduct during the tournament, he has now been selected to represent Australia in two tournaments in USA, the World Stars of Junior Golf being staged in Las Vegas Nevada 16-20th July, 2017 and the West Coast AAU Junior Olympics in Temecula California 23rd-27th July, 2017.

Harry is also a part of The Vintage Golf Club's Junior Golf Foundation and receives tutition from Richard Mercer.

We wish Harry the very best of luck on his travels and know he will be a wonderful representative of his family, club, state, country and JNJG.
