JNJG Juniors Play Alice Springs

In mid January a group of JNJG juniors were selected to travel to the Northern Territory to compete in the 2015 Alice Springs Junior Open for the Paul Pearson Cup.  Not only did they enjoy a fun week interstate playing a great golf course but they recorded some fantastic scores.  Dunheved's Hannah Park put together two solid rounds to claim the Girls Overall Championship on a score of 152.  Douglas Rios-Ceballos (Stonecutters Ridge) also performed well finishing second overall on a score of 151 just 3 shots behind the Northern Territory winner Mitchell Gridley.  Other juniors who played well up north include Izzy Melia (Monash) and Luka Brucic (Federal).  Luka also claimed the Boys Under 15 Nett prize.

The Alice Springs Junior Open is an Australian Boys' and Girls' Ranking Event. It is for players aged under 21 years, and is played over 36-holes stroke play. It is conducted by Golf NT.
