Beverley Park Junior Competition Thriving

One year down and Beverley Park Golf Club celebrated its penultimate Junior Open Competition for 2019 inviting parents and sponsors to join the kids for the daily event.

A fun day was had by all and mums and dads were in attendance, partnering the kids in a 2BBB Stableford family event.

We welcomed visitors on the day from Woolooware, The Australian, Muirfield, Bonnie Doon, The Lakes, Bexley and Randwick.

Stars of the day were Luke Boer and Leo Mullins from Woolooware who combined to record an outstanding 49pts in the 2 Ball Comp closely followed by Justin Hadi (Muirfield) and Matthew Xu on 48pts. Lucas Naumovski (Bonnie Doon) and Theodore Fedes (Beverley Park) were next on 46pts. Great scores from the boys.

Local junior Theodore Fedes recorded a very healthy 42pts to win the single event and Stella Kaloudis (Bexley) was runner up on 38pts. Well done and you both are improving steadily with each game.

Best of the Parent/Child scores was James and Stella Kaloudis who recorded 45pts and Beth and Abbey Bull were next on 43pts. All parents enjoyed the opportunity to have a hit with their kids and the day will be replicated in 2020.

Many thanks to our monthly sponsors throughout the year who have contributed toward our support of Junior Golf in the metro area. We will continue to run the open competitions in 2020 and dates will be available via the JNJG tournament calendar. We welcome all boys and girls to join in the fun. Special thanks to all the parents and kids who played in our comps throughout 2019 and we hope you have enjoyed the days as much as we at Beverley.

We now move to 20 December for our final event for 2019 and it’s going to be a fun filled day with a few “extra treats” which we feel will provide a real party atmosphere. An onsite DJ will give the day a real Ryder/Solheim Cup feel.

The day is honouring long term Beverley Park and well renowned Australian golf professional and teacher Bill McWilliam and Beverley Park Junior and current USLPGA Tour Player Sarah Kemp. Sarah will attend on the day which is a great bonus for the Tournament.

There are two tournaments on one day:- The Bill McWilliam OAM St George Junior Golf Masters and the Sarah Kemp Junior Girls Golf Masters.

Beverley Park is boasting over $3000 in prizes for the day and is expecting a very competitive field for the 8.30am shotgun start and seeded draw. Sponsors of the day are Colorfen Constructions & Stratco Outback, Ramsgate RSL and Taylor Made is on board as the equipment sponsor.

The day is also in conjunction with the Jack Newton Junior Golf inaugural Xmas Party.

Registration is now open via the JNJG website or at Beverley Park Golf Club 9587 3424 or http://www.bpgc.com.au ;

Entry fee is $30 and must accompany the Registration Form. Entries close cob Wednesday 18 December.
