ABOUT THE ACADEMY GAMES
In 2024, the Your Local Club Academy Games will be hosted for the third and final time by the Southern Sports Academy from Friday 12th – Sunday 14th April 2024 across the Wagga Wagga region.
The 2024 Your Local Club Academy Games will showcased some of the state’s most talented emerging athletes across seven (7) sports including Basketball, Cycling, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Indoor Volleyball and Triathlon. RASi is the owner of the Your Local Club Academy Games and works with the event host academy to co-ordinate the event.
Your Local Club has been the Principle Partner for the Academy Games since its inception, and the Regional Academies of Sport Incorporated is proud to be associated with such a supportive and progressive organisation.
The NSW Government, through the Office of Sport, also provides strong support for the conduct of the Academy Games.
The development of the ‘Academy Games’ is the first demonstration of the strength and commitment of the RASi network to deliver tangible benefits to athletes throughout NSW.
The 2024 Your Local Club Academy Games will be held from Friday 12th - Sunday 14th April.
The golf tournament will be played at Wagga Wagga Country Club, with both Strokeplay and Matchplay Tournaments taking place. Friday and Saturday will see more than 70 golfers representing 11 Regional Academies take part in the individual 36-Hole Strokeplay section, before these scores will see the Academies form teams and take part in the Matchplay on Sunday.
