The Annual Scarecrow Festival

The city centre of Milton comes to life every year over the June long weekend for the annual Scarecrow Festival. This year it took place on Saturday 7th June.  There were a variety of activities to participate in with lots of fabulous entertainment that kicked off at 10am. This event is always very popular, attracting thousands of people to the town for a day full of fun and entertainment. There were market stalls, a Surfboard riding simulator, petting zoo, a draft horse to feed, music in the side streets, a climbing wall, a pass the ball, JNJG’s golf stall as well as many more fun things for the entire family to enjoy.  The local pubs entertainment begun while the sun went down and the fun continued well into the evening.

JNJG were represented at this event to raise money for the local Mollymook Golf Club.  Luke Grinham took the, now famous in the area, Snag Suit accompanied by a helmet to the festival. The Snag Suit has targets on it and is made of Velcro so the balls that are hit by the kids stick to the suit. There are also some smaller targets off to the side for the juniors to aim at. There is some padding in the suit for the person wearing it, but it is still a little scary at first. Some juniors from the club accompanied JNJG Territory Manager Luke Grinham to help promote the junior program. We were able to raise some money for the Mollymook Juniors and introduce parents and players from far and wide to all that JNJG has to offer.

If you are interested in using this suit to help raise money, promote or help a local club or school near you then please contact Luke Grinham on 0458 626 621.
