Legends pass down their knowledge at Catalina Country Club

The PGA Legends Tour is currently making its way up the South Coast, the players played at Bermagui on the 19th of October, then headed off to Catalina Counrty Club. Some of the names playing in these events include, Roger Davis, Peter Fowler, Peter O’Malley, and Anthony Painter just to name a few.

The players are always trying to promote the game while they travel and compete so six of the legends including, Wayne Rogers, Michael Patterson, Tim Elliott, Brian Wearne, Gareth Small & Geoff Holloway, were kind enough to give up some of their time at Catalina on Tuesday 20th October to help out with a junior clinic. Twenty juniors from Catalina were present to learn a variety of skills from the players. One of the things that the legends passed down on the day was the variety of shots you can use around the green. Most of the juniors were shocked that using your hybrid from next to the green was a great idea.  Tim Elliot was very impressive with his hybrid holing out a few shots from the fringe to get the kids excited enough to try it.

The Legends could not have done a better job with the juniors and who knows the next star may have been right there receiving some tips.
