Professionals Share Golfing Knowledge

Following a creative seven-week in school golf program Jerry’s Plains PS students were lucky enough to experience a golf session at Singleton Golf Club.

Under the guidance of club professional Les Bennett the students tested their new found skills on the putting green.  Each student learnt speed control, reading the green for slope and enjoyed a little competition over four holes.

From there JNJG Territory Manager Mark Ingrey took the students through a physical golf session.  Over seven stations the students tested their skills in agility, speed, balance, chipping, distance control, and target golf before finishing off with some stretching exercises.

Following a lunch break Jerry’s Plains students combined their newly learnt golf skills in a Wombat Golf event over four holes on Singleton Golf Course.  In teams of two the students played Ambrose with some holes weaving amongst the trees while others utilized Singleton existing holes.

It was a great fun day with students taking home a small gift and enjoying the perfect conclusion to their eight-week golf program.

Special thanks to Singleton “MyGolf’ Teacher Carly Ross, Singleton Professional Les Bennett and Singleton GC.
