JNJG Announce State of Origin Squad for 2018
Jack Newton Junior Golf have announced a large squad for the 2018 State of Origin Series as it looks to win its 10th straight series against the Junior Golf Foundation of Queensland.
The tournament returns to Queensland this year and will be played at Pelican Waters Golf Resort on the Sunshine Coast, from Thursday 11th to Friday 12th January, 2018. The JNJG team will fly to Queensland on Wednesday 10th January and have a practice round, before returning home (hopefully with the trophy) on the Friday night at the completion of the two-day competition.
The final team, comprising of one boy and one girl in each age division (as of the first day of competition), will be selected and announced at the JNJG Presentation and Sponsors Day at Pymble Golf Club on Monday December 11th, 2017. These players will be picked based on their scores in all JNJG Tour Events over the last 12 months. The boy and girl with the lowest average in each of the age divisions will be selected as the JNJG representative.
Congratulations to all players who have been selected in the initial squad and we look forward to announcing the JNJG team on Monday 11th December, 2017 at Pymble GC.
