Juniors Named in HAS Golf Program

Hunter Academy of Sport and Jack Newton Junior Golf continue to provide up and coming juniors with pathway development in the region.

Recently 22 juniors applied for positions in the Hunter Academy of Sport Golf Program with two squads on offer.

Hunter Academy squad consists of players ready to make a mark in the region and state, players who consistently perform at events, and have skills that are developing quickly. These players will be watched carefully for possible selection in the next step of player pathways set up by JNJG.

Hunter Development squad consists of juniors who are showing various qualities in their game on and off the course.  Players, who are starting to reduce their handicaps, play well in events and show the on/off course demeanor of quality people.

The selection process this season added high quality levels of development and the successful juniors will enjoy a program specifically designed to provide advanced learning in their own development both physically and mentally.  This training will provide the juniors with an opportunity to develop more rapidly and hopefully assist their goals to be reached.
