Final
Jake Higginbottom has continued his great match play form defeating Tim Hart (QLD) in the 36 hole match play final. The match was extremely close all day with Hart taking a 1 up lead after 18 holes. Jake, as he did yesterday stepped on the gas around the 26th hole to claim three straigh holes to move to 3 up. Jake held his lead to take the match 2 & 1.
Semi Final
Jake Higginbottom defeated Cameron Smith for the second time in a couple of weeks to move through to the final of the Queensland Amateur. Good friends Jake and Cameron battled it out over 36 holes with the results much closer than the 7/6 defeat Jake handed Cameron in the Australian Junior Interstate Series. This time on Cameron's home turf the match see-sawed all day with no player able to gain an ascendancy. This was until the 21st hole when Jake (1 down at the time) won four holes straight to move to three up with 11 holes to play. From here Jake was able to hold off Cameron to finish the match 3 & 2.
