The Junior Week of Golf teed off last week with the first round at Murrumbidgee Country Club. As always Gail Goiser organised a fantastic week of golf for the players including rounds at Belconnen Magpies, Yass and Federal Golf Clubs. Gail had assistance from ACT Monaro DGA committee, including the President Gary Heald, Vice President Les Wallace, Warren Gray, Canberra International Pitch n Putt specialist and JNJG’s Sue Harrison.

This event, along with the Spring Junior Week of Golf is a long- standing tournament, which has been enjoyed by junior golfers in our region for approximately 17 years. It incorporates the Yass and Belconnen Junior Open Days.

This year saw approximately 40 boys and girls involved.  The tournament caters for all age groups both GA handicap and those without handicaps. The ACT Monaro DGA and the CSGA provide daily and overall prizes.  The DGA also provide a bus for transport to Yass Golf Club on Day 3. Thank you to all the clubs for providing facilities and catering each day.
