A Great day had by Students at Worrigee Links

21 students from Nowra Christian School participated in a Gala day at the Worrigee Links Golf Club on Wednesday the 30th of May.

The afternoon started with a tour of the facilities at the course. The students were introduced to the Proshop, to the practice chipping green as well as the putting green. So impressed by the putting green, many students refused to believe it was real grass.

Once convinced of it’s authenticity, the students ventured out to the course where they would enjoy a three-hole ambrose tournament.

After the three holes were complete, and the scores finalised, the students were shuttled back to the club house in golf carts, a highlight for some. Back in the clubhouse, the golf club had kindly provided a BBQ for the students to enjoy while they received some information about golf clinics that are running in the area, and also received a small prize each for attending (supplied by Jack Newton Junior Golf).

The smiles on the faces of the students at the end of the day were priceless.

The students wished to thank Club Professional Rob Nancarrow and the Worrigee Links Golf Club for the use of the course, the organisation of the day and Sausage sizzle provided for the students to enjoy before returning back to the school just after lunch.
