Big Wins at Moss Vale Golf Club

There were some dominant wins in some age groups as the JNJG 12 Years and Under State Age Championship wrapped up at Moss Vale Golf Club.
Ti Fox (Lynwood) did his best to chase down Toby Farrar (Lynwood) with a 2nd round 72, but Farrar finished fast with an eagle on the 17th hole to cap off a 5 shot victory. Lara Thomsen (Wollongong GC) was never in doubt as she added the Girl 12 Years Division to her recent Club Championship victory at Wollongong Golf Club.
Adam Ding (Bexley) completed a second consecutive 71 to win the Boys 11 Years Division. Mimi Thomsen (Wollongong) made sure her sister was not the only one bringing home some silverware with her 6-shot win in the Girls 11 Years Division.
Joey Eason (Beverley Park) finished stronger than fellow 10-Year-old Matthew Xu (Randwick), firing 76 in the final round to claim victory in the Boys 10 Years Division. Camilla Kim (Lynwood) added to her bragging rights with an 11-shot win in the Girls 10 Years Division.

The cold and misty rain has returned for the second round of the JNJG Under 12 State Age Championships, as players look to be crowned Age Champion later this afternoon.

Young Guns Star at Moss Vale
(7:30pm - Monday 14th December 2020)
On a difficult day for the most experienced of golfers, the young guns playing in the JNJG Under 12 State Age Championships stole the show at Moss Vale GC.
Toby Farrar (Lynwood) and Bo Chung (Ryde Parramatta) lead the Boys 12 Years Division, with Max Hemsworth (Bathurst) and Jonathon McDonald (Randwick) the stand out in the Nett Division. The boys finished tied for the lead at 10 Under Par after recording Nett 61s. Lara Thomsen (Wollongong) was the standout girl in the 12s, leading by 11 shots after the opening day.
Adam Ding (Bexley) leads the Boys 11 Years Division at two over par after the best round of the day, with Michael Li (Asquith) hot on his heels just four shots back. Brent Gadd (Penrith) impressed in the Nett Division, with a five under par 66. Mimi Thomsen (Wollongong) is looking to make it two from two for the Thomsen family, leading the Girls 11 Years by six shots after the first round. Sia Taylor (Royal Canberra) also impressed, finishing with a Nett 62 to take the lead.
Matthew Xu (Randwick) leads a competitive Boys 10 Years and Under Division with Sebastian French (Fairbairn) and Blake Cranston (Toukley) leading the way in the Nett. Camilla Kim (Lynwood) was amazing on day one in the Girls, running away with a 12 shot lead.

2020 JNJG Under 12 State Age Underway at Moss Vale
(7:00am - Sunday 13th December 2020)
The 2020 JNJG 12 Years and Under State Age Championships is underway at Moss Vale Golf Club.
After originally being postponed in July due to the Coronavirus, the tournament has found a home in the Southern Highlands with wet weather expected throughout the week.
Play is underway, with 76 players taking the course.
